🏌️ 18 Golfers, Four Rounds, One Memorable Journey
Our Mount Fuji golf trip brought together 18 golfers for a wonderful week of golf, shopping, local dining and friendship. All participants signed up for four rounds at Susono Country Club, Daihakone Country Club, Fuji Golf Course and Kawaguchiko Country Club, each adding something special to our Japanese golfing experience.
💪 A Rainy Start but Spirits Stayed High
Fog, rain and chilly conditions greeted us during our first two golf days at Susono Country Club and Daihakone Country Club. While the weather presented a challenge, our golfers made the most of the experience.
Many managed to complete all 18 holes on both days, while some sensibly chose to stop midway as the rain and cold intensified. Despite the unsettled weather, there was plenty of good humour and camaraderie to keep everyone’s spirits up.
⛅ Sunshine for Our Third Round
The weather improved substantially for our third round at Fuji Golf Course. Sunshine and excellent course conditions made it a thoroughly enjoyable day and a welcome change after our wet start.
Our final round at Kawaguchiko Country Club brought some of the most pleasant golfing weather of the trip, with cool temperatures that were ideal for a day on the fairways. By then, however, fatigue was beginning to catch up with many of us. Our scores may not have been quite what we hoped for, but there were still plenty of smiles and memorable moments!
⛩️ A Taste of Golf in Japan
For those playing golf in Japan for the first time, the experience was particularly memorable. The four-seater, automatically guided golf buggies and the lunch break after nine holes were a novelty for some, while having one caddie assist four golfers during the opening rounds offered another interesting introduction to Japanese golf.
These little differences made the trip about more than just the scorecard—they gave us something new to experience and share.
🍣 Shopping Dining and Time Together
Away from the courses, we enjoyed shopping in Gotemba and exploring the dining options around our Super Hotel in the Kawaguchiko area. These relaxed evenings gave everyone time to unwind, exchange stories and get to know one another better.
A final shopping stop at Mitsui Outlet Park before heading to Haneda Airport rounded off the holiday nicely.
